What does a Matterport tour show – and what does it not show?

Spatial orientation, schematic plans and clear boundaries between the actual state and visualization.

A 3D tour helps to understand spatial sequences and visible details from a distance. It does not replace a personal inspection or a technical inspection.

The recorded actual state

When you walk through a real recording, interested parties can understand doors, paths and visual relationships. This means that hidden components, cables and the quality of a system remain unchecked. Access to private rooms and to a published model is assessed separately for each property.

Schematic plan and area

Matterport describes Schematic floor plans as an orientation derived from the 3D model. Even those Manufacturer documentation refers to some areas as estimates. We therefore base binding residential or property areas on verified property documents and, where necessary, professional measurements.

Before and possible design

A second model can show a future facility or design. It must be visibly marked as a visualization and must not be confused with a fully renovated state. IMLU separates real capture and possible change in the presentation. This is how we identify virtual staging.
